Each year Americans invest big bucks on prescriptions for antibiotics and unfortunately, much of this cash is wasted. Antibiotics can destroy “friendly” bacteria such as Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidus which aid the digestive system and may help prevent infection by “unfriendly” microorganisms.
